FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS :

All I have to do is fill out the forms and send them in to INS with the filing fees. Why should I pay a lawyer to do it for me?

The immigration laws are extremely complicated and, especially now, they can change every day. You can call the Immigration Service for assistance, but their officers do not know all of the circumstances of your case, nor can they possibly know of the day to day changes in the laws and regulations. If they give you an incorrect answer to your question, no one is going to make them pay for their mistake. They do not have to be accountable to you.

One tiny detail in your case can significantly affect the outcome of your case:

You could be faced with a denial of your petition or application.

Family members could be separated for long periods of time.

Your company could remain stagnant and lose a competitive edge.

You or your relative could be placed in removal(deportation) proceedings and held in an INS detention facility.

Hiring an attorney is an investment in your future. Competent legal advice will help you make the best use of your time and resources while avoiding potential obstacles throughout the Immigration process.

Our fees are based upon the services we provide that are necessary to accomplish your goal, whether that goal is becoming a U.S. citizen , getting your green card, coming to the U.S. temporarily to work or visit, or defend a deportation proceeding.

Most of our services are charged as a flat fee. The flat fee that is charged is based upon our estimate of the time and work involved in handling your case. However, there are many instances when additional work is necessary to complete your case. In those instances, such as where the INS requests additional evidence in support of your application, we will discuss with you what additional work will be necessary and what the fee will be for the additional services.

When you schedule and complete a consultation, the fees for our services will be clearly explained. The consultation fee of $250 will be applied toward our flat fees if you retain this office to represent you within seven days. That means that if you hire the firm to represent you in any matter within seven days after the consultation, the consultation is free. You will be asked to sign a retainer agreement which explains all services and costs.

The Immigration Service (USCIS) publishes the processing times for most applications on its website. Click here to find out the processing time for your type of application.

These processing times are estimated times only , and CIS frequently takes longer than the processing times given on the USCIS website. While our office can give you an estimate of the time necessary to complete your case, it is extremely difficult to do this because of frequent changes in CIS procedures.
